My name is Aleksandra Janicka. I am from Poland. I have been working as a live-in carer for over 5 years. I am a carer because I like helping peolpe. I am empathetic and patient. When I am helping people I feel that I do something good and important. I feel useful and helpful which makes me happy. I have a lot of expirence in this job. I took care of paralyzed person who needed a hoist, changing stomabag. My clients were ladies with dementia. I cared for person with advanced dementia. It was double contract. She was yelling during the afternoon and the evening and many times we had to go to her in the night. She needed an ambulance and I had to go with her to the hospital where We spent 10 hours. I also took care of lady with a kidney problem and I went with her to hospital where We had been for 8 and more hours. I was at the death of my client.
