Iv had a total of 5 years care experience, 1 year live in, 2.5 years within a care hone and the remaining time caring for a family member. I’m a driver of a manual and automatic vehicles / (Currently without my own car but If the role requires will purchase one).
I’m a kind and compassionate person with a caring personality. I’m empathetic by nature and that’s reflected in the career choices I have made to date.
Whilst I have spent the last ten years in self employment working as a Pilates Instructor, this is a skill that is transferable to the right client, with scope for mobility improvements.
Pilates is essentially movement medicine and everyone stands to benefit from it - no matter your age or physical mobility levels, the exercises can be tailored to you to bring you to a place of feel good and more comfort in your body.
I have also worked with children and young adults with autism accessing mainstream education, a role I took to prepare for placement within the clinical psychology PhD Working with children with autism gave me insight into the importance of following routines with consistency. Also have experience of seizure management.
I am adaptable and able to work with a variety of clients. I am also a Qualified swimming instructor and teach aquatics exercise which again is something anyone can benefit from, particularly in a warm hydro pool.

I have strong admin skills and am a proficient typist so can offer secretarial support as needed.
Animal lover - dogs, cats, horses - so dog walking and assistance with pet care is a welcomed addition to any role.
I love cooking, and will follow whatever recipes you prefer. Happy to do waking nights as well but again as long as all is clear from the beginning so expectations are fairly managed
