Hi there, my name is Monique and I'm looking for ways to combine my nursing background, my expertise on health and medical matters and my strong social skills to help others. Originally I was trained as a state registered nurse and I have experience with several medical specialties. My registration has expired but my knowledge and expertise are still here. I'm currently waiting for my CoS to get accepted so I can apply for my Care Work Visa. I've already finished the Common Induction Standards and I'm now studying for my Care Certificate (CQC Regulation).
Expertise: nursing, anatomy, physiology, pathology, ostomy, wound care, catheter care, incontinence, health care general, medical care, customer care, service support, purchase and sales, marketing & communication, writing, editing.
Qualities: creative, trouble shooter, hands-on, social, empathic, pragmatic, self-taught.
People would describe me as smart, social, 'easy going', empathic, pragmatic, positive. I love (traditional, slow) cooking, reading, National Trust, history, pets, hiking, BBC drama television. I am Dutch but I love England and it's my dream to live there someday. At home I am a carer for my parents and in-laws (ages between 82-89) and I currently support elderly during Covid-times.
My aim is to make a difference to British people who need extra help and care. I have a caring heart on offer!
