I feel I can make a difference in people's lives as I am a hard working, kind-hearted honest individual who is easygoing and patient, especially with the charges in my care.
Up till last year I cared for a 7 year child who has learning difficulties and speech impediment for few hours in between school and family coming home. I quickly learned to assess her needs, for example I recognising when she needed to be assisted with personal care, in the course of few weeks I fully become conversant with her routine. Few years back I cared for a lady with MS for more than 3 years as a live in carer thereafter worked in a home with learning disabilities clients. I looked after my grandson from 8 months when his mother returned to finish her nursing school up to completion of his primary school doing school runs when his parents worked full-time. I therefore feel that I possess transferable skills which would help me care for elderly clients in their homes as a valued member of Country Cousins.
