I have over 5 years experience as a carer. I worked as an hourly visiting carer for the Alzheimer's Society back in 2001. In 2014, my Father became terminally ill and I cared for him until he passed away. In 2016 I became a domiciliary carer and progressed to a field care supervisor in the fastest growing Birmingham based branch of Helping Hands. I then transferred to live-in care and became a self-employed carer. I have a driving licence but no car. I am a fit, mature, hard working and compassionate person, who has liaised with GP's, OT's, District Nurses and other health professionals to provide the best care. I have a good sense of humour and graduated from the university of Wolverhampton with a Complementary Therapies BSc, which was put to use as a volunteer therapist for Primrose Hospice, Bromsgrove. I have a wide range of experience of conditions, equipment and end of life care. I have a background of catering management with good cooking skills.
