I have experience of caring for two ladies living well with dementia. (Live in)
I am competent in meal planning, cooking, housekeeping, ambulation, personal care and
administering medication.
I provide individualised care by tending to the specific needs and requirements of each person.
I provide mental stimulation, fun, laughter, conversation and companionship.
I am focused, practical, well organised and an effective communicator and listener.
I assist them in understanding their emotions when they face new realities.
I am extremely respectful and empathic.
I am patient and practical.
I am of a sunny disposition which provides a lift when spirits are low.
I have the ability to elicit cooperation and sooth the individual when reluctant to comply.
I am observant of behaviours and signs of deterioration of health which need to be addressed and relatives are kept informed regularly.
I am a calm and a creative problem solver. I have an enhanced DBS.
I am looking for a non smoking/pet free household and lease note I do NOT drive.
