Hello there! We are a couple who have been working as carers for the past two years. Namely we have done live-in care for people with spinal cord injuries, though we have also had experience with live-out care; supporting people with strokes, dementia and the elderly. We have had the opportunity on a number of occasions to work together with clients and we see how much enormous support and benefit this brings our clients and also ourselves. We obviously don't expect to be each paid a separate wage: priority for us is that we can as a couple support the right client and spend time with one another without being over-worked.
