I am an active independent General Practitioner (GP) in South Africa and have Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). I have a British passport, updated DBS and I would like the chance of something new in my life. Caring is more of a one on one position and it's the chance of going from caring to doing e.g. making a cup of tea and listening to stories, to make the individual's life more meaningful. Although I was born in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia), I have UK passport and Driver's lisence and am a good cook (I even took cooking lessons at one point!) Twenty odd years as a GP have now tired me out, and I am looking for the next step in my life. My background knowledge of the person, to cooking and washing - whatever it is the person needs, I am excited to offer that I can do this. I don't believe the elderly should be unmotivated or not have good laugh - if I can help an individual (and come back home to the UK!) I would be over the moon. I am not afraid of hard work.
