I am Esther, a care and support worker. I am writing this email in reference to a home care assistant position. I am a caring, compassionate, empathetic, and full of life individual. My demonstrated ability to partner with nurses and other healthcare staff to provide the patient’s required medical care and the know-how of assisting residents with their daily healthcare, individual needs, safety, and comfort make me the perfect candidate for this job. I further understand the importance of maintaining high quality standards of quality standards of care provision. I can also effectively cope with emergencies and difficult situations that may require quick thinking while adhering to the set policies and procedures.
I am well-versed in helping the patients in their routine activities, like feeding, bathing, and grooming. I am a keen learner and have the ability to remain calm in emergency situations. My inherent people skills assist me in boosting resident’s morale and to maintain their dignity even in times of physical distress. I can work alone effectively as well as in teams as required in each situation. I can communicate and write in English very well. I scored band 8.5 in IELTS exam. I can additionally communicate effectively and respectfully with all that I interact with. In addition, I am very flexible, reliable and can work on any shift as needed.
To advance my knowledge and service delivery I am willing to undertake any training required to keep my knowledge up to date. I have a thorough understanding of the Care Act 2014 and Health Care and CQC regulations, UK Health and Safety Regulations, Mental Health Act 2007 and the principles of Health Care and Hygiene.
