I have worked in Elderly residential settings, Domicilliary care, Mental health both in Psychiatric hospitals and community. I have also worked with Homeless adults and young people, Young people in care, and with the crisis mental health team. My interest in live care was reestablished in my current role as a hospital based Social care assistant. My role involved advocating for and completing assessments for people requiring private and Social services funded care. This involves direct work with client's, family members, GP's and other relevant professionals.
I have a very good understanding of the care act 2014. I also have a good understanding of safeguarding and issues experienced by individuals requiring support at home.
