Sue has been a Carer for my husband Derek for more than 10 years.
Derek had Parkinson’s disease and dementia and Sue was very capable of dealing with all situations which arose.
She always arrived with a smile on her face and a was able to relate to him using, kind, compassionate and relevant communication even when he was no longer able to respond verbally.
Sue prepared nutritious and appropriate meals for him when necessary and was very adept at helping him to eat ensuring that food was easily digestible and sufficiently cut up/ mashed/ puréed as required.
There were several medications to be given including the use of a nebuliser and Sue had no difficulty administering his tablets and nebuliser fluids.
I would thoroughly recommend her for a position requiring nursing and practical care both in the home situation or in a nursing/care home.
