With over thirteen years in the Care industry, I have a lot of expertise and knowledge to offer my clients. I have two years experience as a Professional Companion Carer in the home visiting and giving support in combination with travelling to my repeat and new clients across the UK as a Live In Carer.
With Notice I may also be available to give Person Centred Care for your loved one through Christmas and the New Year period in addition to periods in the remainder of this year. (Bank holiday rates are included in my rate).
Things I do with excellence. Speak French. Cooking, Escoffier Cooking Class. Pass with distinction attended in a French Cookery School. Perfect Scrambled Eggs, Chasseur de Poulet, Soup de jour, tell me what you like and I will make it for you. Cottage pie, sausages and mash with my mother's homemade gravy recipe. Sunday Roast a fruit flan to follow with cream.
Scrabble, let's have a game, tea and good conversation and laughs, to name a few.
I deliver Person Centred Care, this means that I will give your loved one, her daily choices and wishes within a safety net. Your family member, the client will chose their routines, fun, meals, rising and bedtimes. The timing of their wishes to rise and go to bed, preferred meals and activities. Shall we go for a drive, have tea and cake, listen to music or perhaps you,d like me to read to you. As a published author I can read you my stories or maybe I can share my love of art and we can paint a scene on canvas. ( The family will need to take a step back from their involvement and take a well deserved break).
My first care experience was looking after my lovely mother at our home for over ten years giving physical. personal and mental stimulation through her progressing and changing needs of dementia.
I diligently give Person Centred Care with a high work ethic. I love helping my clients retain as much of their independence as possible with little laughs along the way. I only deliver the very best support in a respectful manner at all times.
I'm proud to have been accepted as a Royal Volunteer (WRVS) where I served for twelve months, my clients were ladies in the battle against lonliness. I was a companion whom would take my clients out to social gatherings to meet and make new friends. When they had re established a social circle I would engage with another lady or ladies.
I take after my Mother, a Senior Nurse of good humour, practical, understanding with a no rush approach to daily living. I enjoy delivering high standards so you can rest assured, knowing that with me as your Professional Companion Carer you will have a first class experience.
Whether I visit your home or we agree that a live in position better meets your needs then your privacy and my appreciation that I am working in your home is always foremost in my mind. When I'm not available on Curam I'm working for a CQC (Care Quality Commission) rated outstanding Care Agency based in London. This is where my training and qualifications are constantly updated with exams passes of over 90% the minimum accepted level.
NB. I am allergic to cats and prefer small dogs. Non smoker. Driver with my own car. Plus I do not drink alcohol whilst on an assignment. My usual way of working is a twelve hour shift with a two hour afternoon break that's mutually agreeable, so that I can take care of me, and so take care of your loved ones. I do offer hourly care but I feel strongly that to make a real difference the time spent must be a minimum of three hours per period.
If you want superior care and support with a high standard of daily operations, who will actively ensure the health and well being of your loved one then contact me for my availability. We can then, if you wish set up a what's app interview to discuss the client's needs in greater detail.
NB. We can then agree the Person Centred Care Plan, rising and sleep patterns, meal times and diet, personal care, and of course fun and conversation.
Mileage rates apply separately, industry norm and a food allowance or included in your shop applies.
Regards
Fiona
