About Me
Being a mum and grandma, caring for others comes naturally to me, and I find it both rewarding and fulfilling.
I have over 20 years of experience in the care sector, working across various areas, including dementia care, learning disabilities, severe challenging behaviours, elderly care, mental health, and brain injury support, in which I have specialised for the past 10 years.
Throughout my career, I have worked as a live-in carer, day and night carer, and support worker. I have experience supporting clients with PEG feeding and catheters, as well as training in nutrition, medication assessment, first aid, and people handling, including hoisting.
I am also a driver with 20 years of no-claims insurance and have basic sign language skills, enabling me to communicate with and support people with different needs.
As a team player with previous experience as a team leader and support care manager, I understand the importance of teamwork, safeguarding, dignity, respect, confidentiality, and working in accordance with health and social care guidelines.
With all the experience I have gained, my goal and heartfelt desire is to make a positive difference in people's lives and to be part of as many life journeys as possible.
