I have obtained certificate in frail care and palliative. Herewith are the duties I have applied: -
- dealing with Dementia/Alzheimer and frail patients.
- feeding patients
- bed/shower baths, and dressing
- making bed that is occupied or not
- taking pulse, blood pressure and temperature
- prevention of pressure sore, pressure care
- hand, hair, and foot and nail care
- entertainment and games
- giving medications
- assist patient with mobility (walking, movement from bed to chair, wheelchair or commode)
- accompany to doctors and hospital visits
- assist with basic cleaning and laundry if time allows eg: while the patient has a nap
