I am a support worker who works with adults with severe learning difficulties along with other physical and mental health illnesses, in a private supported living residence.
My roles entails :
• Being a keyworker for a designated service user - providing personal care according to their care plan maintaining dignity at all times
• Administering controlled & non controlled medication including medication stocking and audits
• Handling and auditing services users' finances held within the safe
• Property auditing
• Leading care plan review meetings & liaising with service users' families and carers
• Managing all health care appointments as well as advocating for service users & giving feedback to all staff members and families/carers
• Progression via onsite and online training to cover all mandatory training
• Escorting service users to social events that they enjoy
• Covering any any other duties as required
