I am a patient, calm & empathetic person with a background in education, social activism & the arts. I am currently seeking a position as a live-in adult carer. Whilst I come to this sector without direct adult care experience, my employment to date provides me with valuable transferable skills. I have worked in refugee and asylum seeker social care support in Greece, supporting day-to-day needs around food provision, housing, employment & general support accessing the EU asylum services. As a lecturer at the University of the Arts London, I gained transferable skills in student pastoral care, grading, instructing and relationship management, critical thinking and decision making. I hold a PhD in Music (2015). I am keen to attain NVQ health & social care qualifications. Originally from Melbourne Australia, I moved to London in 1993. I hold a clean UK driving license, am a permanent resident with the right to live and work in the UK and am a fit and healthy 48 years old.
