I am a carer who has a long experience in looking after elderly people and people who suffer from various illness. I have looked after patient who suffer from dementia, cancer, palliative care, stroke including elderly people who has hip or knee cap replacement including multiple sclerosis . In all my experience of looking after people I have learned to be patient and humbleness is the most important thing. Empathy and respect including understanding people background and culture is the key to help a carer to be able to give care to service user plus listening.
