Hi let me introduce myself. I Have been a carer for over fifteen years. In this time, I have gained experience of working with a variety of clients with different care needs.
I have worked with clients with dementia, learning disabilities, brain injuries and clients with mental health issues. My experience has also included working with clients who have had various mobility issues. I have worked with clients of all different ages and both male and female.
As a live-in carer I feel it is essential to make certain that the care provided is tailored towards meeting the clients needs. Every client is different and the type of care provided must meet the care plan.
I feel that my experience has helped me to be able to adapt to the needs of the various clients I have worked with, and I get great satisfaction knowing that I am able to help the client to improve their quality of life.
I make certain that my professional development is always up to date and I attend regular courses to be able to provide best practice for my clients.
I have an outgoing friendly personality and I feel I am very approachable. I enjoy getting to know the clients I work with and feel it is essential to make them feel relaxed with me and cared for.
I am a non-smoker who at present does not drive. I enjoy going to the theatre, cooking which I particularly enjoy and I would say I am an excellent cook who likes to experiment with different dishes. I also enjoy reading especially about current affairs, travelling and meeting new people.
