I have previous experience of 2.5 years as a domiciliary care worker and team leader. I found the role very rewarding and gained a lot of satisfaction each and every day when visiting the service users. The downside however was that there was very little time to socialise and really get to know the person due to the time constraints. I would very much like to return to the industry and feel that being a live-in carer would provide the opportunity of building a fulfilling relationship with the client without being 'on the clock'.
