My grandfather, now a retired Librarian, was cared for by me, throughout my teens as he was often left somewhat emotionally unattended.
It is so important to me to make sure duty, empathy and warmth come together in bringing about a relaxed and healthy environment for those in need of care. I have worked with babies and toddlers in a nursery and work with them now as a Volunteer at Baby Toddler Rhyme Time at Essex Library, where I encourage mothers, guardians and their children to bond. It is such a rewarding time, knowing that cheer and bonding really make a difference and what better time for it to be than at Christmas.
