Over the years, I’ve gained a lot of hands-on experience working with children, families, and vulnerable individuals. I’ve worked as a Support Worker and a Family Team Support Worker and I’ve also worked with Sheffield City Council through agency work In these roles, I supported families and children in different situations, often working alongside social workers to help create a safer and more stable environment for those involved.
Part of my role involved visiting families, helping with routines, offering emotional support, and making sure the children’s needs were met. I’ve worked closely with social workers to help monitor progress, share feedback, and keep everything on track with care plans. I also supported children with emotional or behavioural difficulties and worked hard to build trust and consistency.
During the pandemic, I was proud to support both children and parents, especially when many services were limited. I adapted quickly, stayed professional, and did my best to be a source of calm and practical help during a difficult time.
I’m a patient, caring, and hardworking person. I treat people with respect and try to meet them where they’re at. I can stay calm in challenging situations, and I work well both on my own and as part of a team. My experiences both professional and personal have made me more understanding, more adaptable, and more committed to helping people move forward in a positive way.
I believe I can bring real value to any role that supports families and vulnerable individuals. I’m passionate about what I do, and I’m always willing to keep learning and growing in the work.
