I believe that empathy and compassion are the most important qualities for a health care professional. Working as a Live-in Carer, it is my opinion that i will have the chance to further cultivate the aforementioned qualities. Moreover, I have worked for approximately 2 years in a psychiatric hospital as a trainee psychologist, and during this time I discovered that I have a tendency to care for and help people in need. It gives me a sense of reward and fulfillment to help people emotionally, as well as practically in their day-to day activities.
As a person I am encouraging and supportive without becoming condescending. I believe I have a practical mind and positive attitude. I am not afraid of taking responsibilities or doing physically demanding work, I am good at organizing my time, and also I am good in motivating people (in the case the need motivation). I am a good listener and I respect the boundaries of others. Lastly, I never lose my sense of humor!
