My name is Paul Harto and am interested in applying for a live in carer.

I am extremely experienced carer with over 25 years of experience for caring with my son who suffered from Lennox Gaustat Syndrome. Unfortunately he passed away last year after giving him the best care me and my late wife could offer. This allowed my son to have the best life he possibly can. I would now like to be a live in carer for someone I could really help and offer my experience and passion allowing them to live their life to the fullest.

Along with looking after my disabled son I also worked for Mencap, I cared for six adults on a night shift alone cleaning getting clients up, bathed, clothed ready for the day shift. This allowed me to be available during the day to assist my wife with our sons ever increasing needs.

Having looked after someone with Lennox Gaustat syndrome, there isn’t much i have not experienced. Lennox Gaustat is a terrible condition affecting the person mentally and physically. No two days are the same - one day he could be having ten different seizures, another day he may not be able walk and be blind. I believe this makes me the perfect candidate to look after someone with any condition.

I'm very respected for my knowledge and quality of care I provided by the York disabilities team and anyone who knew us. Coupled with my catering experience I feel I'm able to give a quality of care few could .
I'm very polite happy person who understands that people need to be supported in the community as independently as possible with care understanding and respect.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

Looking forward to hear from you
