Profile
Since December 2020 I have been a Live in care Giver and provide a variety of non-medical services that enhance the quality of their life, with the ability to treat and care for clients, supporting and assisting with all personal care requirements and the challenges of aging with dignity, pride, care and compassion and willing to live in the client's house and provide round-the-clock care and support, in order to enable the client to achieve the very best quality of life that they can get.
In 2008 I became interested in caring for vulnerable people after assisting and supporting a late friend who had prostate cancer, with personal care at his home, in Swindon . I assisted him with full body wash, to take bath or shower, cream his body, put on his clothes, administering and overseeing medication, offering emotional support, making conversation, and living in with him for over one year.
Then I went on to be the Personal Assistant to the Head of Service, Swindon Borough Council that was in charge of several care and residential homes. On part time basis, I worked for Whitbourne House, residential home for elderly persons with Dementia, keeping the home clean, doing laundry and helping kitchen staff serve meals.
For over 5 years, I worked as a part time Domiciliary Support Worker providing support for young adults 18 – 24 year olds with complex needs which may include learning disability, autistic spectrum condition, complex challenging behaviour. I prepared and cooked healthy, traditional British meals from fresh ingredients, keep the client's flat and clean and tidy, hoovering carpets, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, laundry etc).
In the last two years, I have been an
Independent mediator providing individuals and joint mediation appointments to explore civil dispute resolutions, issues, problems and conflicts, to identify realistic and achievable ways of out of court settlement.
