I am an experienced carer with 12 years of experience at H&S care in both nursing and domicilary care, live-in included; looking after patients with dementia, learning disabilities, mental health, mobility issues and palliative care mostly elderly clients.
I speak fluently english, czech, slovakian, and polish.
I worked as a senior carer for a short period of time. During that time, I learned about this role, the way I am confident to take on this responsibility as well.
I have cooperated with other H&C professionals and understand policies and procedures. I was appointed to train new carers in their shadowing training days with full induction in both practical and theoretical way, following my manager theory induction.
I was appointed to do care assessments for new clients , create care plans accurately, and into great detail.
I am fully trained to administer medication and manage any MAR chart documentation.
I am well acknowledged about manual moving techniques and a variety of handling equipment in care. I know how often these need to be checked and how to keep them in good order.
I participated in many activities with people with different disabilities in and out, like going out to restaurants or cinema, shopping, playing games, reading loud to them, cooking together, doing music sessions, playing guitar, travelling or going for trip to ZOO.
I used to be designated key worker and take care of budgets and shopping, appointment with health care professionals, and also assisted with physiotherapy- Specifically, I was exercising with them and doing gentle physiotherapy myself.
I have budgeting skills - I understand income and expenditure and apply for the benefits.
I took care of the general budget for weekly shopping after I created a weekly menu for 9 residents and staff, which recipes I mostly cooked myself.
I do my job with responsibility, compassion, and commitment, as I believe it is my path to put all my strength into helping others as well as my Christian faith.
