I decided to pursue a career as a live-in carer because I love making people feel good. I want to make my customers feel
loved and happy when I am around them. With my endless energy and happy personality, I
think that I have a lot to offer.
I now have more than 1 year and half of professional care experience ( mostly with customers with dementia ) plus some coming from my personal life.I grew up with a big number of siblings, one of them was born with both autism and Down’s syndrome. As my parents worked full-time they found it difficult to cater for all of my brother’s care needs. So I assisted him with some of his personal care and also provided him with companionship. Being able to provide support to my brother and my parents at home was particularly rewarding. This is one of the main reasons why I was drawn to live-in care. I wanted to provide similar support that I gave to my brother to someone else in need and enable them to continue living in the comfort of their own home.
