I qualified as a State Enrolled Nurse in 1975. Since then I have divided my time working in Residential Care Homes and working as a live in carer for the elderly in need.
I am currently working through Consultus Care Agency on a self employed basis. I attended their induction, manual handling training and carer updates. I have also trained in Food Safety, Infection control, and Fire Safety.
I have been with Consultus Care since July 2011 where I attend annual mandatory training.
I have worked continually in the care industry for over 45 years.
I feel I am highly experienced and qualified carer who enjoys my work.
I try to maintain a positive attitude and be happy and cheerful in my job.
I feel my responsibility as a care giver is to help clients remain in their own home whilst allowing them to maintain their independence and dignity whilst living as normal lifestyle as possible, while assisting with personal care and any household chores when required.
I am a basic good cook. I enjoy doing jigsaw, computers, walking and theatre.
