Hi, My Name is Luke, I am 26 years old. I live in a small town called Buxton.
In May 2016, i started work as a home care assistant. My duties include; washing, drying and dressing ensuring the correct standard of personal care is delivered. I also assist with meal preparation, administering, assisting or prompting of medication. Helping with continence, cleaning, help with laundry and taking services users on outtings.
I have experienced using stand aids, hoists and turntables. I also learnt how to connect and remove a sheath and understand how to connect, and disconnect night bags.
As a carer I like to think I am reliable, approachable and someone service users can rely on. I like being trusted by services users and providing the best care possible. I already feel from my experiences in the care industry, I have started to build a good reputation based on my work and desire to go the extra mile. I have great experience
