I was born in India, completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Bombay, India, after which I worked in the private sector before leaving for Switzerland to work with the United Nations in 1987. After completing a number of years of working in various peacekeeping missions in various post-conflict countries, I decided to quit my job when my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and cared for her until she passed away in 2012. From 2017-2019 I worked as a Live-in Carer with Miracle Workers and Trinity Home Care until Covid broke the cycle and I moved to Europe. I am presently living in Spain but I do monitor and work closely with the Carer and the care plan of one of my siblings with has Dementia in India and spend a few months every year.
