Along the years I have realized that the common element in the most part of my professional life was a deep engagement with the society's most fragile members. Their social integration, as well as physical and psychological well-being, has been the core of my work. Recently, this commitment had also to be applied to my personal life, as my grandfather struggled with Alzheimer disease. For 10 years, my family took in their own hands the responsibility to provide the complex support that Alzheimer patients require. My role, through the years, presented itself very different and demanding. All the aspects of personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing or even eating were so challenging as dealing with the progressive decline of cognitive capacities. I am able to successfully manage a demanding caseload. I also have the enthusiasm and determination to ensure that I make a success of this role.
