A highly skilled professional manager who has worked in a fast pace, highly demanding service delivery environment for many years with the only element of the role I truly enjoyed was the engagement with the people. No matter where I have worked I have always naturally been a magnetic for people to talk to and for me to listen and counsel and although not part of the job specifications I loved it! As a 'more mature' person I want a total change in direction and having cared for elderly parents and in-laws through both age and physical induced ailments, including end of life, I realised the time spent supporting a better quality of life and socialising together was way more rewarding! Hence I find myself here looking for the opportunity to enhance, improve and make more memories for people who need and desire that independence to live a life they deserve. I have attached a cv of my past careers in the hope if shows I am a dedicated individual with the ability commit but please ignore it doesn't show me as a carer only me the person can do that.
I am a mum, grandmother ( a nin nin to the grandaughters - tried to avoid it being known in public I was a granny but nin nin gets more strange looks!) cook, wife, housekeeper (such a small word for a job with more skills and achievements on any CV I have seen!) taxi, banker and so on and on but those stories or for another day.
So yes, although not a professional carer, I do have life experience of caring for all ages, many ailments and at times sadly end of life with laughter always being the overriding medication.
