Empathy is most important when caring for anyone. Along with empathy, my patience, wisdom, experience, and great sense of humour make care work ideal!
My experience includes working as a trained Emergency Medical Technician (ambulance and emergency room), night shift at a care home, nursing assistant for a care home. I also helped care for my mother when she was dying in 1983 at the same time I was caring for my partner in our home. He was paralysed from the waist down. Both sadly passed away within 2 months of each other.
