I am now at a time in life where my daughter is soon to be moving out and i can become a full time live in carer. It isn't about how much i earn to an extent, its the one to one experience i have with the individual i support.
At present I work nights in a home that supports 14 residents with mental illness. They have spent most there lives in secure psychiatric hospitals or prison. I am their support worker whom encourags them to lead independent lives.
I have worked with individuals as a community carer and senior in a residential home supporting individuals living with Dementia. I have previous experience in Live in care. My mother lived 22 years with severe disabilities resulting from a double brain hemorrhage.
I am very good as working part of a team as well as confident working alone.
Due to like being kept busy I have learned what and how to archive personal papers whilst quiet on night shifts.
I have almost completed my NVQ level 3. I am waiting on dates for my maths and English exam.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
