I am a mother and grandmother and I was a carer for my husband for 15 years until he died. My husband had type 2 Diabetes and a Heart Attack and Stroke. He also got a cracked bone in his spine while in respite and spent the last 3 years of his life in a wheelchair.
I did courses on Moving and Handling and First Aid.
I have just completed a course this year on Health and Social care with the WEA Scotland and got a Certificate of Achievement .
