My name is Penny and I am looking for a career change.

I have no official experience in care, however I looked after my uncle for 6 months when he came out of hospital following a bad car crash. I attended to all his needs, cooking, cleaning, giving medicine, even trips to the bathroom and wound dressing. He had both legs shattered and he also had a large stomach hernia and complications from abdominal surgery requiring lots of different medication so I had to be organised. I found this very rewarding and we would take his mind off his situation by sitting and talking and playing games and I found this enjoyable and would like to do this again for someone else who needs help. I am tired of the 9-5 office life. To be paid for giving someone a helping hand and just having the patience and kindness to make their lives a little better would be a dream come true for me.
