I am 21 years old, I have worked in care for one year. My experience is working with elderly individuals and individuals with mental health problems. Previous to this I worked in pubs and attended college where I obtained 3 A levels and a Level 3 Certificate and I have continued my development with training through my employers. Helping people has always been something that I have wanted to do. I was a young carer for a close family member from the age of 10-17 so I know the importance of an individual being able to maintain their independence in their own home as much as possible. I did not know in what capacity I wanted to help others but since leaving college I have found that working within a care setting is something that is really rewarding to me and it is something that I would like to pursue and further develop. I would describe myself as chatty and outgoing, I am very reliable and hardworking and I am willing to learn new things in order to provide a high standard of care.
