Since 2013 I have worked as carer in care homes and domiciliary. I became a live in carer in September 2015. In my experience I feel the best care is given when a client is in their own home. This allows family and friends to be just that. My job is to listen to the client, assist with their needs,
allowing family and friends to enjoy the company of their loved one. My experiences have been with my parents generation. This has restricted me therefore as I am adaptable,
capable and flexible to fit in with any scenario. I now feel I can fit with any live in care position.
After a varied career dealing with people and the general public I now feel my vocation is to be the best carer I can be.
For me it really is most rewarding and at the same time I feel so privileged to work as a carer. I'm honest and respectful and very trustworthy. I have a good sense of humour and make a positive out of a negative.
I'm a confident driver with my own vehicle. My D.B.S. is on the update service.
Recently I've become more involved working with trachiotomy peg feeding and medication.
Since this I've discovered a more fulfilling role giving more individually person centred care.
I live in Worthing and ideally prefer to stay local. I'm still registered with some agencies on an if and when needed basis.
I look forward to hear back from you.
