Hi my name is Lee I am looking for live in care work, I haved worked in care for two years. I started as as an Apprentice Support Worker and gained alot of qualifications and knowledge about working in the care sector. I am caring person who enjoys working in one a one situations, I live with my wife and children one who suffers from ASD. I served my apprenticeship in a locked rehabilitation unit working with people with learning disabilities and mental health issues . I support them to look after themselves in the unit with cooking cleaning and laundry as well as playing games and other activities. I also supported them access the community for recreational activities and Gp\hospital appointments. I worked in this role for 18 months and really enjoyed it. For the past few months I have been working in domiciliary care and really enjoyed doing this. I learnt a lot of new skills doing this role working predominantly with the elderly with conditions such as dementia,Alzheimer's, stroke patients and people bedbound or with poor mobility. These skills included things such as using hoists and incontinence care and other forms of personal care. I find working in care really rewarding and really enjoy providing companionship to them and making a positive impact on their lives.
