I work as a professional Carer for 17 months. I have completed a Care Certificate (13 standards) and I have experience with spinal injuries, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and Dementia.
I would describe myself as a compassionate, warm and sensitive girl who has deep respect for old and disabled people, especially that I have been raised by deaf parents and I understand how is to have to communicate in a different way for them could understand me. I also took care of my grandmother when I was only 10 years old - she was 90 years old and had her leg amputated so I had to do all the house work by myself.
I have also completed 2 online courses called "The many face of dementia " Bridging the Dementia Divide: Supporting people living with dementia"
I speak English very good and I understand Spanish and Italian.
I am keen to take my NVQ level 2 in the next few months.
