I am a mature and experienced candidate being an engineer by profession, raised my own two boys with success, my elder working as a web developer in London for over one year now and my youngest getting his license as IT engineer this year.
Sadly my mother passed away in 2010 after struggling with Alzheimer disease thus I am aware how it evolves as I helped my father taking care of mum.
Friends say I am organised, responsible and loyal on the long run. I can teach a child respect for others in a loving, nurturing manner as much I am able to provide empathy and support for an elderly person.
Since 2015 I changed my life to care for elderly vulnerable persons and I was told in a good way as my first job as carer was looking after a lady with Dementia for almost 3 years.
On a daily base I was helping with getting up, washing, grooming and getting dressed. Later we were sharing breakfast also administrating her morning medication.
On week days a local carer looked after her for daytime but starting 5pm I was taking over the evening shift due to being live in carer. We were watching together TV, having short walks, teaching Romanian words, reading magazines or quizzes while lady was enjoying her evening drink. Later we were cooking and having supper together. After administrating the evening medication the lady was taking her bath with my support and then retired to bed.
On week-ends I had a sole charge of care and while on Saturdays we socialised in the community for the Coffee morning for Sundays we attended the Catholic Church mass. Also I kept flat clean, did weekly shopping, washings and kept records updated.
During my 7 years + of live in care experience I was looking after persons with low mobility, Parkinson, Dementia doing my best to help them feel happy in their own environment.
I do enjoy design, cooking and am a deep animal lover having my own dogs and cats at home that I always miss when being away.
Anyone who will employ me and treat me with respect will not be disappointed or let down.
