I retired from the police service in 2010 and in the time since I have been involved in the care industry. I have attained a Level 3 in Adult Health and Social Care. I have managed a scheme for Independent living with extra care services covering a range of physical disabilities/dementia/parkinsons etc. I have worked as a senior care worker dispensing medication and engaging with multi agency to develop the appropriate the correct level of care. I have prepared care packages, risk assessments and managed up to 20 staff. Most recently I am working with Nursing and residential service users with dementia and physical disabilities in the Christchurch area within a care home setting.
