I first starting as a care worker over 20 years ago & became a registered manager of a residential home looking after the elderly. Planning care packages to meet the needs of the clients and their families to ensure the client’s needs are catered for to a high standard
After leaving the care industry I utilised my Health & Social Care qualification and experience by becoming a lecturer at my local college. I then became the Curriculum manager of a team of lecturers delivering qualifications from E3 level to Level 5 Health & Social Care qualifications and Apprenticeship programmes to local health industries & the local hospitals. Every year me & the team managed the Cadet Programme for students to complete a Btec Level 3 qualification whilst working in the hospitals for 2 days & week & progressing onto university
