I have more than 10 years’ experience working in adult care settings and over the years I have grasped good working knowledge of learning disability care issues. Being person centred is an essential part of my work in carrying out primary assessments of needs and comprehensive risk assessments. This is illustrated by my ability to explore various ways of reaching the person’s needs by communicating with the service user, his/her family, other professionals and other agencies with common interests and identifying the best way of meeting the service user’s needs.
