The journey into care is a an ultimately, rewarding and sometimes difficult one. However doing an Access to HE Nursing & Health Professions is the correct and first step forward into my career within the care industry.
At 35, having two children I don't see myself as having no care experience as being a mother definitely holds the right foundations for being a carer. My past experience is in people management in financial services, where I took care of my team and their mental well-being to allow them to do their job to the best of their ability regardless of what was happening outside of the work place. That position I held was one of responsibility and trust and I was well respected within it. During my access to nursing course so far I have dedicated myself fully to the core subjects of care and the 6 C's and hold them in high regard which I intend to use to their best intent.
