Up to this point in my life i have worked administrative and customer facing roles. It was only when my mum became ill first in 2008 and again since 2010 that i realised that it was career that i'm really passionate about. It was whilst helping to care for her that it became obvious why care assistants were vital and how having someone caring and compassionate could make all the difference the the person being cared for. Whilst caring for my mum i assisted her with her medications, occasional personal care and mainly dealing with the aftermath of her many illness episodes- Angina Attacks, A Heart Attack, Her Heart Stopping , Epileptic Fits And More recently Life Threatening Seizures. I would really like to commence my care career and make the difference to people's lives like the care assistant's who helped my mum. I would also love to undertake training to ensure i can provide the best care for the person i'm caring for.
