I have gained experience working alongside qualified nurses, assisting in bed making, washing and personal hygiene care of patients, assisting with getting clients in and out of bed, turning stroke patients to ensure that they do not get pressure sores and breakdown of the skin, mouth care and peg feeding doing vital signs, , i.e. temp, resp. pulse, B/P, as well as caring for patients with long term diseases such as cancer and HIV. I also did my manual handling training that give me the ability to use equipment such as hoist, rotunda, wheel chairs etc. My manual handling and mandatory training is up to date.
