I worked as a special education teacher 17 months at a learning center and observed various behavioural patterns. Most of the children I have taken care of have cognitive and learning difficulties. We as educators and future psychologists are trained to guide individuals with language difficulties to process spoken language in an organized and structured way. Also part of the program is the application of concept imagery to the comprehension and expression of oral language to finally develop imagery language connections as a basis for comprehension and higher order thinking. I have worked with almost thirty children with a collaboration of trained specialists. The children and adolescents I worked on range from 4 to 19 years of age with various learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysphasia, ADHD, Language processing diorder, and dyscalculia.
