I have always enjoyed working with Elderly people; I have both previous work experience as well as personal experience in this area and caring for my granddad is what sparked my passion for caring. I am empathetic and patient with a flexible and adaptable approach to work. I have a positive attitude and feel that this is required in this particular role.
In regards to my suitability for the job role I have previously worked as a carer so have a thorough understanding of confidentiality, data protection, equality and diversity as well as safeguarding so would be confident in implementing these in this job role. Some my main responsibilities included providing emotional support to every client and I regularly provided social and mental stimulation as required. I was able to identify individual needs and feel I would be able to this working with a different age group.
