Having grown up in Africa caring has always been part of me, from watching my mom and her siblings care for my poorly grandparents I thought me to be a compassionate person from a young age.I am genuinely passionate about delivering the best possible care to those who need it most. For the past four and a half years, l've worked as a palliative care respite sitter in the community, supporting patients and their families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. This role has taught me so much about compassion, dignity, empathy, resilience and the importance of presence.my strong personal resistance integrity, passion and drive to provide the best outcomes for patients have seen it fit to apply for this role.
Through my experience, l've developed strong skills in patient care, including managing complex needs with sensitivity. I've learned how to communicate effectively not just with patients, but also with their loved ones-offering reassurance, a listening ear, and a calm, steady presence. I regularly liaise with nurses, out of hours doctors if need arises , and other healthcare professionals, and I understand the importance of clear communication and teamwork in providing the highest standard of care.
I bring empathy, reliability, and a strong work ethic to every shift. My goal is always to make a meaningful ,difference, no matter how small, and to ensure that patients receive the best care at their end of life care. I would like a new challenge,I am confident that I have the resilience, teamwork, interpersonal skills to join the dynamic team. I am practically able to execute this challenge with due diligence, care and compassion guidance and training.
