I have worked in care for the past couple of years, including in a school with children with physical and learning disabilities and in a residential home with adults with learning disabilities.
I have also worked in home care.
I have a certificate in moving and handling and am currently completing my care certificate.
Care has always been very important to me as my younger sister has a rare medical condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, meaning that she has to use a wheelchair most of he time as well as other complex needs.
It is my hope in the future to go to university and study occupational therapy.
Live-in care has always interested me as I love working on a one to one basis and think I would greatly enjoy it.
